The Center for Craft, Creativity and Design (CCCD) has announced the 2011 partner museums who will offer four Windgate Museum Internships for students who are aspiring curators: The Cleveland Museum of Art (Ohio), the Crafts Study Centre (England), the Mint Museum of Craft + Design (North Carolina), and the Racine Art Museum (Wisconsin). Interns will work on a project designed specifically for the internship and receive compensation in addition to the competitive opportunity to work with skilled curators. Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program in an accredited U.S. college or university with a focus on studio craft or art/craft history. Applicants should indicate their preferred timeframe of availability (funding window is between May 2011 and April 2012 with length of internship to be dependent on intern’s availability).
